About

Who We Are, in Plain English

Degenerate Gamblers began as two friends who love sports and hate noise. We study the board, track how lines behave, and write in a way busy bettors can actually use. No theatrics. Just honest thinking, posted on time, and measured the way serious people measure things.

Our Team

Antony

Antony’s played sports at nearly every level — pro, semi-pro, and the kind of rec leagues where things still somehow get heated. From hockey rinks to tennis courts, he’s always been in the game. He recently hung up his skates, but you’ll still catch him swinging on the golf course or soaking up that South Florida sun.

A husband, father, and multi-business owner, Antony brings the same competitive drive to betting as he did to the field. He’s not here to sell pipe dreams — just to help fellow bettors play smarter, win more, and enjoy the ride.

Sports and action are in his blood. Data-driven picks are how he stays sharp. And like any true degenerate worth knowing — he’s always chasing the next edge.

Chris

Chris is a seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for golf, business growth, and embracing new challenges. As the founder of CORE Agency, he channels his energy into scaling diverse small businesses, from custom golf equipment to artificial turf and sports handicapping.

A Florida State University graduate, Chris initially set out to become a golf professional but carved a unique path by focusing on custom golf equipment—mastering the fitting process, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, and tailoring solutions for individual players.

His career took off as a PGA TOUR technician for Founders Club, working under Gary Adams, the founder of TaylorMade Golf, and Bob Vokey, now renowned for Titleist’s Vokey Design Wedges. This formative experience shaped his future. After Founders Club was acquired, Chris spent nine years at TaylorMade Golf, refining his expertise.

In 1998, he launched CMD Golf, partnering with Doral Resort and Spa in Miami to serve local players, resort guests, and private club members. By 2004, he relocated to Jupiter, Florida, and in 2007, scaled the business by rebranding, raising capital, and expanding into markets like New York City and Park City, Utah, while introducing a mobile tour van to reach private clubs across the U.S.

In 2018, after two decades in golf equipment, Chris pivoted to artificial turf, joining a major Florida installer as VP of Sales. Two years later, he launched his own turf business in Austin, Texas, followed by a second in Florida. In January 2025, he expanded further with an artificial turf wholesale/distribution business in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Golf remains the thread connecting his ventures, fostering friendships with fellow enthusiasts who share his love for the game, friendly wagers, and spirited camaraderie. Chris’s relentless drive and adaptability continue to fuel his entrepreneurial journey.

The Operating Philosophy

We treat picks like research, not entertainment content. That means calm decision making, a preference for cleaner markets, and an open door to the word “pass.” We would rather be careful than flashy. We would rather be consistent than loud.

What that looks like day to day

  • We weigh evidence before opinion.
  • We publish what we would bet ourselves.
  • We explain why, then stop talking.

What We Will NOT Do

Some lines get clicks, others build bankrolls. We favor the second group.

No miracle streak marketing

No “lock” language

No affiliate push for sportsbooks

No pressure to parlay everything

No burying results if a week goes sideways

Data, Models, and Experience

Models help us find signal. Experience tells us when the signal is weak. We maintain inputs across injuries, travel, matchups, pace, weather, and market context. We review how the numbers performed, then tune parameters when they drift. The work is iterative, and we treat it that way.

Guardrails We Use

  • Separate test lists before anything reaches subscribers.
  • Notes on model changes so we can explain adjustments later.
  • A record of line snapshots for audit and learning.

Editorial Standards

Good betting content should read like a lab notebook that speaks human.

  • Definitions on page for terms that confuse newer bettors.
  • One clear reason for any position, no word salad.
  • Consistent punctuation and house style across posts and emails.
  • Internal review to catch hype, sloppy claims, or vague phrasing.

Transparency You Can Check

We believe trust grows when readers can verify.

  • Results are tracked by league and week with the same fields every time.
  • Notes appear when an unusual market event affects a slate.
  • A short recap explains what went right, what went wrong, and what we learned.

Responsible Betting is Part of the Work

We sell information, not wagers. Age 18 plus. Bet within your limits. If a number moves beyond a fair price, we advise passing or scaling down. Discipline matters more than volume.

Privacy, Security, and Your Account

We use reputable processors for payments and keep subscriber data minimal. We do not sell personal information. Email delivery includes a visible unsubscribe. If you need help, a person replies.

Community, Communication, and Updates

We keep an open inbox and a calm tone. Questions about a concept get real answers. Feedback on clarity leads to edits. When we change a process, we explain why.

Media Notes and Availability

If you write about sports betting, modeling, or market behavior, we are happy to talk through methodology at a high level and share what we are seeing in season.

  • Please specify your deadline and topic so we can respond quickly.
